Don’t Call It a Labor Strike
Workers are boycotting a corrupt capitalist system
It’s been called the Great Resignation, a mass migration of the labor force escaping a soul-crushing world of low-paying jobs with poor working conditions. The movement has been wrongly labeled a “general strike” of workers in protest of the lack of a living wage.
What America is experiencing would be better termed a “labor boycott.” And it’s about to spill over into how workers vote with their dollars beginning with the biggest shopping day of the year — Black Friday.
The mainstream media won’t cover this story to avoid promoting the issue. The Great Resignation is part of a larger social movement to expose and collapse a corrupt capitalist system and it’s happening quietly.
Ultimately, the protest is not about jobs, affordable housing, student loans, screaming bosses, or even the quality of life. Those are important issues somewhere on the periphery of the core concept.
