Trump’s visit to Walter Reed hospital has raised far fewer eyebrows than Clinton’s fainting spell did three years ago

OOver the weekend, Donald Trump made an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center that he claimed was “phase one” of his annual physical. Immediately, people were skeptical. Medical physicals are not conducted in “phases,” nor do routine tests need to be done outside of the White House.

In response to questions about the abrupt hospital visit, a Trump campaign Twitter account posted an X-ray image of Superman, joking that it was released from Trump’s visit to Walter Reed. “Surely CNN can stop the hysteria now!” they tweeted.

On Tuesday, Trump responded to those questioning whether maybe something more serious had taken place by attacking the press: “These people are sick. The press is dangerous. We don’t have freedom of the press in this country.”
