Here at GEN, it’s my job to scour Medium each day for fresh voices with compelling stories and unmatched expertise. Still, it’s a constant struggle to not get distracted, and sometimes you just have to go down that rabbit hole.   • Mike Bloomberg thinks he can win over millennial voters with memes and meatballs. But actually tested out his recipe and found that much like his candidacy, Bloomberg’s meatballs are a mess. DeRuiter gave a similar treatment to Mario Batali’s terribly timed sorry-not-sorry-for-being-a-creep cinnamon roll recipe in a viral story back in 2018, which won a James Beard award. This time around, she knows better than to actually follow the recipe instructions.
