On November 30, 2021, Dr. Mehmet Oz, famously known as “Dr. Oz”, announced his bid for the Senate in Pennsylvania, yet a lot of people are blaming TV mega-personality Oprah Winfrey for the celebrity doctor’s potential ascent into political relevance. People are suggesting that Oprah should be held accountable for Dr. Oz’s fame and influence, and they are not wrong.
Why are people so concerned about Dr. Oz, initially dubbed “America’s Doctor” by Oprah herself? After all, isn’t he a real doctor?
