  • After 130 years of low-key peddling racial stereotypes, Quaker is finally calling it quits by announcing a rebranding campaign this week for the Aunt Jemima syrup line. And as BlackExcellence.com explains, “Aunt Jemima was never about pancakes.” The name originated from the song “Old Aunt Jemima,” which was performed by men in blackface.
