All this week, Elemental is publishing a new series on how this election will affect your health and your healthcare. With a new Supreme Court on the horizon, a potential government transition, and a vote taking place during a pandemic, health policies are in a terrible flux.

“The pandemic has exposed the existing weaknesses and shortcomings of the health system in the United States and where our health policy is falling short,” says Capri Cafaro, executive in residence at American University’s School of Public Affairs.
