The pseudonymous host of ‘Mueller, She Wrote’ explains why she’s not surprised by Trump’s post-impeachment purge

ToTo podcast listeners, she is A.G., host of the hit show Mueller, She Wrote. To her government colleagues she’s, well, someone else entirely. A.G. has long worked for an undisclosed agency in the executive branch of the Trump administration. Under the Hatch Act, federal employees can’t use their government title to play “any active part” in a campaign. (Try telling that to Kellyanne Conway.) A.G. has withheld her name entirely, neatly avoiding any would-be sleuths who would Google her.

Meanwhile, her show, which mixes commentary and comedy to discuss the Mueller investigation and its fallout, has gone on to accrue hundreds of thousands of listeners, massive ad deals, and has booked nationwide tours. Throughout it all, A.G. has remained pseudonymous, though she is technically allowed to show her face on stage or, in this case, in the artwork accompanying an article. A.G. spoke to GEN about how she created Mueller, She Wrote (plus her new podcast, The Daily Beans), working under Trump, and why she wouldn’t accept Mike Bloomberg’s advertising money.
