The Peril Of De-Banking the Freedom Convoy
Arrest them, scold them, impound their trucks, but freezing them out of the banking system, that’s an act of war
In response to an article I wrote on the Freedom Convoy, I got some interesting comments from those who live in Canada. They shared a lot of details that I was missing from my newsfeed. I learned that the scurrilous protesters who are so opposed to vaccine mandates were getting pretty rude. Offensive even. And they smashed fundraising records on GoFundMe. But I’m not sure they deserved to be “de-banked”. Everyone has to pay their bills.
Among some of the offenses of the protesters I heard about, they were honking their truck horns in the middle of the night in residential neighborhoods. They desecrated the grave of the unknown soldier. They waved nazi and confederate flags. And of course, they were blocking a major trade corridor. That closed factories across the region. That was their plan, right?
So I looked for videos that would cast these people in the most favorable light. I found one from FOX News and yes, they were just normal people protesting something they didn’t feel was right. They made lots of emotional appeals about freedom and showed little comprehension about the impact of their actions upon the freedom of other people.
