‘All the President’s Women’ shows the most powerful rapist in the world should be seen as a predator first, and a president second

OfOf all the horrific truths about Donald Trump — the lying, the name-calling, the racism, and narcissism — the fact that the president of the United States is the most powerful rapist in the world seems to be what people talk about the least.

It was just a few months ago that beloved advice columnist E. Jean Carroll accused the president of raping her in a department store dressing room in 1996, adding one more voice to the dozens of women who have come forward about Trump’s abuse. Despite Carroll’s renown and believability, despite the many women who have come before her, and despite the president himself admitting on tape that he sexually assaults women, the world has kept on turning as if this was all normal.

That’s why I’m certain that even though All the President’s Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator, the new book by Barry Levine and Monique El-Faizy reveals a whopping 43 new accusations of sexual harassment, abuse, and assault against Trump, it will make little more than a ripple of news.
