What would a world without policing or prisons really look like? Medium has just launched “Abolition for the People,” an ambitious new editorial project from LEVEL and Kaepernick Publishing, which will publish 30 stories over the next month including essays from Angela Y. Davis, Kiese Laymon, Colin Kaepernick, and many more. This series will look at the “crucial conclusion that policing and prisons do not serve as catch-all solutions for the issues and people the state deems social problems.”
