Will Trump and His Traitors Be Allowed to Fail Up?
Democrats still insist on bringing a butter knife to a gunfight
If I’m the GOP, I’m redoubling my efforts to implement a coup in broad daylight. If at first you don’t succeed, why not just try again, especially when there’s zero accountability and no one to stop you.
Bear with me.
If you make the criminal decision to rob a bank with your incompetent friends, there’s a very high likelihood you’ll be caught. For the rest of us, especially if you’re a person of color, you’ll be shot, beaten, tased, or at the very least, arrested, condemned, and sentenced to prison. The media wouldn’t do a “both sides” analysis talking about your immense “economic anxiety” that forced you to rob the bank or spend most of its time talking about how the bank teller who pressed the alarm button tried to “cancel” you.
This of course takes me to Trump and his criminal friends who conspired to overturn a free and fair election. If we apply the robbery analogy, the cops wouldn’t arrest them but instead give them a stern warning, a friendly nod, and kindly ask them not to do it again. The press hovering outside would hold their punches so his accomplices would give them access and scoop interviews. Major networks would pay some of his enablers an absurd amount of money…
