FFor the sake of this exercise, let’s imagine an America — far away and in a distant parallel universe — where you never have to pay a cent for health care. Let’s not worry ourselves with HOW we got there. Even during this election cycle, the biggest debates you hear about universal health care (with Medicare For All being the closest possible proposal to it) are about how we’ll pay for it, or how it’ll pass, or what unexpected complications (most imagined by pharma companies who pay lobbyists to imagine such things) could arise from it, or how paying a lot for medicine is the only thing keeping us from becoming the USSR, circa 1984. If you wanna die, read this idiotic WaPo article that posits voters don’t care about Medicare For All and just wanna pay less for health care, as if M4A wouldn’t do just that.

Fuck all that nonsense for a second. Instead, allow yourself to envision an America where shit actually works, and Mitch McConnell is hanging upside down from manacles in a Supermax prison somewhere. Picture it! It’s a nice vision! Can you see it? Sweet.
